I accidentally broke the cover over the nut. For some reason, mine didn't come right off. I tried to put my index fingers under the cap, spread it open, then lifted with my other fingers, but on pulling up, the tab that is connected to where the bolt is wouldn't let go, so I used a little more force and the plastic cap ripped.

Does anyone know where to get a replacement? I don't have a Chevy dealer in town so it looks like either a 45 minute drive for a plastic cap or look online somewhere.

 

Couldn't you call the Chevy dealer, where ever it is, pre-pay the part and shipping, so they could mail it to you?
