Reocurring HHR Issues - Cam Sensor, Rough Idle, Shifting/Power Issues, Burning Smell

Please define "the same problem".
360,000 miles? More details please including year/Model/Engine.
It's probably best to start a fresh thread with all the details.

last year I had similar problems.Rough idle,it would jump all over the place then return to nrmal.Engine would cut out then start again. What was found was wiring under the hood was resting on the exhaust manifold and the plastic insulation burned off over time (burning smell). When accelerating or breaking the bare positive wires would swing and touch the negative ground manifold creating a swinging ground short. I replaced some bad wires, taped others, and rerouted them away from hot spots. This cured multiple problems.

Having the same idle problems
I recently started getting the same shaking when idle with my 2009 2.2 hhr. Seems to be another common problem with hhrs. What seems to be causing this issue? Will this be the next recall issue?

No it is not a common problem with HHR's.
What is causing the issue with yours? without some sort of details such as is your check engine light on, etc.- how can anyone even begin to offer suggestions, other than to provide a 20 item list?
No this will not be the next recall issue.
