slight ticking noise

I have a 2006 2.2 on the one the right side of. The engine I have a slight ticking noise. The car has just over 106,000 miles. In the last week I have changed the belt, belt tensioner, and the timing chain tensioner(ac delco updated one). I have searched on here quite abit, that's why I started with changing these 3 things. It doesn't matter if the engine is cold or hot. Any advice is much appreciated.

Probably the fuel injectors, which unless it is abnormally high, is a normal function.

Many threads on this topic!!

All mechanical fuel injectors can make a clickity noise. They are basically solenoid valves that open & close very fast.

But, if you want something to worry about; it could be the timing chain.

You could get a mechanics stethoscope and listen to the injectors, then the chain cover.

Does it tick with A/C compressor on and off? I assume its not your heater motor, they can tick too. What about your alternator, is there debris stuck in it?

To me, it's any cars that have variable valve timing.
I have three now and they all tick more than my previous vehicles. IMHO
