I had a ball joint on a new LCA last less than a year.

Same here. It put the steering wheel out of line pretty good but otherwise I didn't feel any problem at all.

well you guys are correct again!!!

brakes appear just fine.

looked at the passenger side LCA. the bushing with the 2 bolts appears to be frayed, tightened those 2 bolts about say 1/4 turn. the long bolt is nice and secure. then i checked the rear bushing and it appeared cracked. i compared it to the drivers side. yup the pass side is broken in a few spots. I took a pic but i am having issues posting it.

guess i will be redoing the LCA's. these should be done in pairs, correct???

THANK YOU!!!!!

well i changed them both. glad i did the other started to break up as well.

car came with the aluminum lca's and when i first swapped them out i put on the stamped steel units from mevrotec, ill never use them again. and this time i put back the aluminum lca's from MOOG.

i hope they last a bit longer.

Only adjustment to center up the steering wheel is the toe on the front wheels.
In other words....alignment shop.

The reason the steering wheel is now off center is because it was aligned with bad parts. So now the alignment is way off.

If you want to cause a lot more problems you can pop the wheel off and recenter it. I found out that is a bad idea.
