I am now shocked.. I checked the Over flow tank last night and there was no water at all anymore... I remember I added a little more than 1/2 a gallon of water and now its all gone.. I fill it up again last night with Anti freeze and I will see now how long that will last. Sof far no leaks no white smoke and oil is perfect no water in oil either. So any suggestions as to why the water is missing? The car also no longer over heats the hotter is has been is 196 degrees and in the freeway is 189...

It could still have a slow internal leak. I had a GMC Sonoma once with the 2.2L that had a leaky head gasket. No water in the oil, and you couldn't see white smoke but it was using antifreeze.

 

How can I figure out if it has a leaking head gasket?

Since you have a 2009, it should at least be under the powertrain warranty. I would get it checked at the dealer really. They will do a pressure test and/or look more closely for external coolant leaks. The main downside is if they find it is something simple you may be on the hook for the repair, but if it is internal your powertrain warranty should cover it. If you have less than 36K miles, take it to the dealer for sure as it would be covered no matter what the leak is.

 

You mentioned it was leaking out of the overflow tank (or expansion tank) the first time you added fluid - this last time you filled it, did it leak onto the ground? Was the hose at the bottom secure and not leaking?

No it was not leaking at all this time that I added more fluid to it..Now I can see the anti freeze in the over flow tank and it has not lower any bit eversince last night...

I took it to the dealer they did a preassure check and found no leaks at all. SO far it has been running fine for the past 3 weeks... the water level is fine and also the gauge us fine so I am thinking for some odd reason it needed water...
