In terms of the powertrain warranty, I think @DrLoch is referring to the problem of the intercooler becoming a collector oil and/or water contaminants that may later be ingested into the engine, leading to warranty claims.
And if there is an issue they will only replace their product, not all the other damaged items their product may or may not have contributed too. Like the picture I posted showing a piston with a piece of a valve stuck in it. The valve spring manufacture admitted that they had an issue with some valve springs, they offered to replace the valve springs. The motor that was destroyed because of the valve spring failure was worth in excess of 80K, not much was salvageable, vibration damper and blower pulleys. This was early 90s dollars.
