CEL after ZZP Intake Install
Well to get back to the OP's first post, I also installed my ZZP intake this weekend. I haven't been on here in a few days, but I can say I am happy with my intake. First off I didn't have a CEL for the first 3 days but have gotten 2 since. They are the P0101 code and I just clear it on my phone (torque app). I have had a couple of rough idles and loss of boost, but in all honesty I expected this not having tuned for the intake, which I plan to do in the "near" future. After driving some I noticed my intake temps on the RPD to be within 5-7 degrees of the ambient temp outside. I did some hard driving then pulled in a parking lot and sat for about 5-10 mins and I noticed the intake air temps rise a good 15-20 degrees, but upon driving they came right back down.
I'm going to post up pics in a new thread and a bigger review if anybody wants to check it out later.

All this talk of hot air and heat soak. What happens to the air once it; A. passes through and air compressor driven by hot exhaust gasses, and 2. gets compressed? My job is compressed dry air (30,000 scfd @ 20psi), and more effort is spent cooling and reducing the relative humidity after compression than before. I would guess that limiting heatsoak in the turbo, or upgrading the intercooler will yield more results than focusing on a few degrees on the intake side. I know every little bit helps but diminishing returns would dictate where I spent my efforts.
I think (I'd have to look to confirm) my seam is back around towards the bottom, say 6 or 7'o clock. My general idle is about normal, but once I turn the A/C on, it gets rather rough. I'm good for now though......
Ok,
I'm glad that this system is working out for you guys...
If anyones willing to give up a stock air intake system,
I'm looking to buy your complete system.
I know some of you will put them away, to put back on,
when it's time to trade it in.
But, there's always that guy, that will either toss it in the trash, or
put it in the 'rafters', to be never seen again.
I have some ideas that I want to try, & I need a stock system, to rework.
Wanted
A complete stock HHR SS air intake system.
I need everything, the tubing, complete airbox, screws, all clamps,
the fresh air tubing from fender-to-airbox, even those weird screws
that hold down the airbox, including the rubber grommets.
I'm offering $200 shipped to me in Pittsburgh
Just send me a private message, or find my ad in the classifieds.
Maybe this offer is one that someone might need, to decide in favor
of buying the new ZZP system.
It took me 2 years, to find & buy, a stock automatic downpipe, here on the
forum. Thanks to EcotecRacer
