will that have the waterpump sprocket bolt torque specs? I will give it a read!

Got 3 water pump bolts torqued to spec.

Got the water pump sprocket bolted up. Didn't see torque specs for it in that other thread though. After this, I can tackle the timing chains and stuff (which would have only taken me a day lol)

I scrolled up and found your DDM post. Not sure how I missed it. Lots of good info in there so far.

I was able to get the balance chain on.

All the colored links line up! Not sure if this matters as much as the vvt sprockets?

I did adjust the left sprocket (exhaust) a bit back and forth. (Tiny bit) would this change anything? Or will the links lining up indicate they are where they need to be??

Do you have previous experience with other engines? You definitely know a lot to be able to make a write up like that!! Thank you for all the help and sharing your knowledge with me. (And everyone else that has too)

The balance chain alignment is very important. Dont worry ab'out the cams moving at this point just get the colored links where they are supposed to be. move the sprockets to match the links.

I didn't really have to move them at all. Just messed with the left one. I was very careful lol.

one issue though...2 of these bolts were stripped at the end. I tried to torque them down and they just kept slipping. Luckily the other 2 bolts worked fine. I believe these were in the broken timing chain guide...the thread for the middle balance guide were still fine from what I can tell.

I'll have to look at AutoZone/Chevy dealership tomorrow. I'll be in another city for work as well so I'll have a better selection out there. Otherwise I'll have to wait and order them. I'm probably going to order some more parts anyway, so I can do the transmission. My dad says its sealed or something. Any info on this?

Managed to get the balance guides and chain on today. Everything torqued to spec. Made decent progress. Trying not to rush it or do too much at one time and mess something up.

No that bolt in the link from RockAuto is much bigger it goes in the hole in the block for the plug to access the front guide upper bolt

Ah ok I get it now. I believe I would still need one single replacement bolt though?
