Red oil light
A photo of oil cooler or heat exchanger, coolant runs through it and there is a possibility the tubes have corrosion and pin holes, allowing coolant into the oil or oil into your cooling system. Coolant in the oil would thin out the oil
The filter gets compressed from the cap being installed correctly. Assuming that the pin on the bottom seals into the hole in the housing. Every one that I have removed was compressed like your pic.
The oil does not move up/down, it does not compress the filter. The pressure exerted would cause a bulge, if anything. Don't panic!
DexCool is orange not red. What color antifreeze are you using?

I use the dexcool for GM stuff. I get the cheaper concentrate then mix it myself since its been needing so much coolant replaced. I cant imagine my mixing was off more than 10-20ml per container (very small amount) I cant imagine it would impact the car this much.
I did an oil change. Car is running fine. No extra codes. I tried not to go above 2.5k rpm. No stalling, engine light, sputtering.
I'm joining...
The coolant in the engine oil has a cloudy white appearance + white foam sometimes...
just a thought: can automatic transmission hydraulic fluid get into the engine oil? if possible, this could explain the red color.

Got car back from mechanic. Couldn't finish the pressure test on the coolant since the 2 fitting where the fill cap goes on was cracked and leaking. I ordered a new one as well as the 2 hoses that come off of it.
They said they tested the coolant/oil for exhaust or something and don't think it's a head gasket. He said if it was a head gasket the car would be over heating.
wondering if I should try go find a vtec experienced mechanic since those engines are basically the same thing right? (Dohc vvt)
got a decent "we don't have experience with this motor" vibes.
he said the oil pressure light might just be the sensor? I swapped it a while ago because it was leaking. I forgot what brand I went with.
it didnt come on as I drove it home and around town for $20 minutes.
Next steps: drop oil pan. Re-inspect timing components and oil pump. Anything else I should look into? Or ask the mechanic? I have to wait till the parts come in to install them and finish the pressure test. Although I'm not sure I feel very smart paying $200 for a test I could have done myself for half the price. They tried to charge me $589 out the door to fix the part 😂😂😂😂 nah I can swap a few hoses for $80, thanks anyway.
