It depends on speed, RPM, etc when you step on it.

Thanks, that is what I thought. But w/ how someone expleined the surging they made sound like what mine was doing.

Probably me, b/c I don't remember mine doing that before, but if it normal then cool! it's at the dealer now getting looked at either way, so we'll see what they say.

My dealer ordered me a new bypass valve to correct my surging issues. I have under 6K miles on my vehicle. Hopefully this resolves the lack of 'full' power at times and surging at others. Both minimal, but I have thrown the CELs a few times. I prefer my ride to be in tip-top shape, since we paid our pretty pennies for it.

Did the it fix the issue? Do you know what the part number is?

I want to have something concrete to tell the dealer when i bring it in again.

All these stage upgrade issues are scary. I hope that fixes the problem for you. GM needs to get on the ball and train their employees or stop selling this kit.

It is not that scary. There were a few issues and most are not that wide spread. Most issues were due to the quality of the install at the dealer and GM has little control over that.

If you take the sum total of all these kits sold and installed you will find only a small percentage have had issues.

Few people start post on web sites that day my Turbo up grade is working fine and I have no issues. Most post are from the few that have had issues.

THere were a few bugs in this kit to start but most have been fixed.

If the tech did not make good connections or lacks the ability to do so it is not GM fault.

The by pass has been a TSB issue from long ago and only a handful have had this issue. It can happen on any Eco Turbo but is still rare compared to the number sold.

Ok I took it back to the dealer. Driving at a steady 50 mph I could see the boost gauge got to 0 and then lose the pressure and up again and back down with that cool blow off sound. I took it straight there and they took it. I did tell them that there have been others with this same issue.

They did solder the wires from the Stage kit BTW.

I'm wondering what they are going to find or suggest. I guess they were going to contact people above them.

I'll let you know what they say or do.

I got it back today with a scanner attached to the OBDII port. When it starts acting up, I'm supposed to push the button and it's going to read 20 seconds before and 20 seconds after up to 3 times. As a mechanic, I understand that solving issues isn't always easy to duplicate and I'm very happy that they are doing what ever it takes to solve this issue.

The time of replacing parts is old school and I would rather get the right thing fixed. I will continue to inform you all of the situation. if there are any GM workers that want to also assist me of what they know, I would appriciate it. Thanks JB

I will post back in here when I have them install it. I would purchase this vehicle again in a heartbeat, as I have no qualms about the build, performance or safety of this vehicle.
