OK I'm getting ready to start installing things and my question is, can I install the K&N, Hahn Intercooler and I/C pipes and modified Cat/Downpipe WITHOUT doing a Tune. I wanted to do the "Hard Parts" first then follow it up shortly with the 3-Bar Sensors, plug in connectors and HP Tune. Is this doable?

Is anyone running these type of Mods WITHOUT having to re-tune.

You really don't need all that cool stuff, without the tune.

I am going to Tune it. I just want to do it in stages and see how much the Hard Parts improve performance before I Tune it, if I can. I'm going to Prodyno here in Phoenix next week and do a baseline stock Dyno run.

I still don't have the Hahn I/C pipes I orered the first on December so when I get those I'll start installing and Dynoing stuff and go from there. I want to see what I get for my money.

seemed like a strange request but hey HHR guys need to stick together.

you sent me too much money, should I buy a double Americano ?

I have all that cool stuff under the hood, including the modified downpipe, and the 26lb tune. When I installed my pipes and intercooler with stage 1, my car was boosting 29 the first time I started it, I know weird, but oh what a rush it was.....

The car did that one other time. I switched from a paper filter to a K&N filter, and it was pegging the needle on the boost gauge, so I guess the pipes and intercooler helped..

I have made more changes and it hasn't done it again, so I guess I will have to get one of them BIG turbos......

You may consider transmission stop mounts (TTR or Powell) and in the suspension dept. some yyz springs. You seemed to have covered everything else, that car will be fun to drive

P.S. you are doing it right...bolt ons first and then a tune later to get the most out of them.

I bought a TTR Upper Mount for my Automatic car and that will be going on shortly. I am also getting a set of 60776 Air Lift Drag Bags along with the on board compressor gauge and switch.

New questions, about how long does it take to install the Intercooler and I/C Piping?
How involved is it to install the 3-bar sensors as I will be putting the factory sensors back on to the new I/C pipes and Dynoing the car before I set up the HP Tune.

My reasoning for this question is that I can only have the car down for a max of 6-hours at a time and I have to make sure I don’t bite off more then I can chew.
