for future reference of this subject, Crutchfield has the adapters and speaker mounting hardware with their huge variety of speakers.
That being said most people still cut the OEM harness and solder the new speakers terminals to the wires, be very careful to ensure you have them in phase before you solder them https://youtu.be/GPwmigz5zts

ok... I’m so sorry to disappoint here, but I now feel like I was hallucinating lol
I swear that the first time I looked down at the rear door speakers that they looked exactly like the surface of the subwoofer “blank”.
Now that I’ve taken a closer look at the picture, I can see that they DO have the grills! I’m more than elated, because I certainly did not want to put the gawdy thick grills on that stick out.
I feel I’m about to discover yet another Pandora’s box, because I see something red lurking in the right door that has no sound. Could it be a speaker coax wire? I guess I will find out in a couple weeks when I get the harness converter clips and remove some door skins and pop in nice speakers.
