Newbie with question about interior noises

Hello all

I own a 2008 HHR SS in Victory Red and only have 600 miles on her so far. Just wondering who else has had issues with the interior dash and headliner noises and wondering if they go away as the car breaks in, can be fixed, or are you guys/gals just living with them? Also the driver's door doesn't seem to seal as well as the other three doors when closed

Thanks in advance for any input

What kind of noises are you hearing?

I had a rattle in the headliner (right behind the sunroof), and it seemed like there was adhesive that was not sticking. When I push up on it, I was good to go for about a week then it would come back.

Took it in and they corrected the problem. Turns out...it needed more adhesive and was not sticking. Imagine that :-P

Also, I had a bad wind noise by the driver side view mirror. The dealer found that something was not in alignment, so they fixed that as well.

What other noises do you have?

The most common one is a buzzing sound like a low vibration from the dash, near the guage display. It isn't the plastic face shield and it comes and goes and is more pronounced over bumpy roads. Just seems like a general overall looseness in the fit of the plastics.

I started a thread about all the noises in my HHR SS a while back - thankfully, after a couple visits to the dealership, they fixed everything I asked them to. The headliner made a crackling sound on both sides of the sunroof, there was a rattling from the center of the dash under the storage bin, and the driver's side mirror whistled at highway speeds.

The occasional creak or rattle on rough roads is not a big deal, but if you're hearing constant noises during normal driving, those should be covered under warranty.

My SS feels solid now, and is actually one of the quietest cars I've owned when cruising on the highway.
