Adding radio buttons on steering wheel

Just curious if, when anyone did this, they actually took the time to thread the wiring harness back behind the steel plate and hook the wires into the little clips like the original harness or did you just push the wires into the spaces away from the steel plate and horn/airbag assembly?

I just took the three torx head bolts from the horn ring unpluged it set it on the seat, removed old harness & pluged in new one. then you can install it just like it was before

i did but i couldn't fish the cruise control but did clip it back on not to hard small tool help

Well, I jumped on the bandwagon also and ordered my parts thru gmpartsdirect.com.

Here is what the email they sent said:

It's hard to believe they don't keep those harnesses in stock. Wonder what's up with that?

Well guess what, my parts got here today and they sent the wrong harness and cover. I called them and now I need some help from someone who has these buttons installed from the factory. Can anyone help me? If so please PM me for the details. Dan
