Problems/Service/RepairsIf you have a problem with your HHR, want a tip on repairing or performing a particular service to you HHR here is the place to post!
Here are updated images of the doc (because for some reason every time I try to upload it, it gives me an error)
I checked the battery, it read 12v when off, and when cranking, it read 11.2v.
As for the status of the codes, my mom's friend is bringing me is code reader (he brought it before and that's how I got all these codes). We were gonna clear them all, try to start the car again and see if any of the same ones pop up and which ones don't pop up.
Take off the valve cover, the crankshaft and camshaft position sensors are doing their job, telling you the crank is not in correct position to the cams, meaning the timing chain is either broken or the front guide broke allowing the crankshaft position to be out . Any noises in the engine while you cranked it over, would indicate pistons hit the valves resulting in bent valves.
hopefully you can remove the cylinder head and replace the valves and head gasket along with the timing chain
I can look into doing this later on tomorrow. I don't have a garage or a tent, and it's supposed to rain tomorrow, and I don't want the inside of my hood getting all wet from the rain.
DON'T clear codes!! They will clear themselves when the condition is fixed. They are not the problem, they are diagnostic information.
Anything under 12.3 volts is a dead battery.
Most of those codes could be from a low battery.
2006 2.2L does not have VVT so, no cam sensors. that is handled by the ICM.
You have 11.2 volts at the battery during cranking. Correct. Is this thing cranking normally or is it cranking fast?
Can you record it during a 7 second crank.
That is high voltage during cranking unless there's less resistance. Think compression.
