Well, coming home from work yesterday, the light went off. Got me to thinking, I refueled the day before it came on. I refueled 2 days before it went back off. Makes me wonder. Still planning on taking a close look at things my next oil change, which won't be too long now. Unfortunately, I already ordered both O2's. Well, I'm at 91K already, even if it's "fixed" itself, will still need them sooner or later.

you could always do a tune on it, do a rear 02 sensor delete and then take it off and hammer out the guts or find a shop that will cut off the cat and weld back on a hollowed or cat w a straight pipe thru it
leave the sensor on and with the rear 02 delete it wont matter
i did this on my 06 a long time ago

you can get 02 sensors at most all auto stores for around $20 each

I've got O2's coming from RockAuto. Won't gut the cat, today's cats flow very well, there is no need to gut or remove. Plus Atanta requires testing.

I got both for about $70 shipped. They had cheaper ones, but I want to make sure I get plugs and not universal ones.

Well, the light came back on again the other day. Had it scanned today, same PO420 code. So that to me sounds more like the O2 than the cat. Will be changing the oil very soon, so I will take care of this at the same time.

No smells, fumes, or odd noises.

Isn't that code for an oxygen sensor on the converter reading below threshold? It might just need an oxygen sensor.
