The aforementioned filler tube. There is supposed to be a gasket between it and the valve cover. You can just take it off and put the oil cap in the valve cover.

So I fill it back up with oil, took an entire gallon. I get me wife to assist, she cranks it up and I video what I knew was going to be a massive oil leak. I did not see this coming.

Yeah that doesn't look right. Mine doesn't do that, but it's an SS, so maybe it's different.

Serious though, is the cap broken? Oil was pouring out before the cap was ejected.

And that is the used cap that you used from the 2.4? Go get a new one, as mentioned previously - they are cheap. Hopefully you have not damaged the engine with it running out of oil.

Just air foamed, clean and check the threads in the block, get a new filter cap and a new oil filter and tighten the cap properly!

Hmm. 2 different oil filter caps and both have leaked. I would be taking a close look at the filter housing itself. You may have a crack there.
The video showing the cap blow out seems as though the cap threads are not catching on the housing threads.
Or maybe the housing threads are stripped.
