Not really sure what you're asking by "warranty issue", but as far as recall info, pretty sure that was just a Canadian recall and not for the U.S. sold HHR's. (although 1 U.S. owner on this site,recently said the dealership replaced their's for free)

to the forum Barry!Unfortunately, the EPS warranty program on Canadian HHR's hasn't been extended to owners here in the U.S. Fortunately, replacing a failed/failing power steering motor isn't horribly expensive or difficult.
