I managed to get the nut off. Thanks old blue. Any idea how to get the harmonic balancer off? Do I need a special tool?

Got the camshaft sprocket bolts from Orielly.

They didn't have the crank/harmonic balancer bolts. But I had them look up the seal and it was apparently the green thing you guys had me order so I didn't get that one.

Going to try AutoZone for the crank bolt.

That's the right puller for the balancer. You can likely take it back after using it and get your money back.

It was a little tight but the balancer just pulled right off. Its cheap. Might just keep it. Gonna do this on my 2010 lt with 220k next.

One of the guides had several broken pieces. Glad I did this!!

If anyone has suggestions on removing the water pump it would help a lot lol. Kinda stuck for now. I dont see anyway to get to it. Do I need to take the turbo and exhaust manifold off? All the YouTube videos I looked up are not for the ss

I’ve never needed a puller for the harmonic balancer, just pulled it off by hand.

you have to remove the coolant temperature sensor from the thermostat block , then the three bolts, you should be able to wiggle the transfer pipe out of the water pump. There are two bolts on the back and one more bolt on the front just above the front cover gasket.

be sure to drain the coolant before you remove the water pump.

Put a rag or paper towels in the opening just below the crankshaft, so nothing falls into the oil pan

Here is the water pump on my SS. View is from under the vehicle. The black is the axle shaft for reference.

Carefully remove that bolt, this is why you should install the replacement bolt

That broken front guide!
