26.1" tall tires on mine

Ok update, I had my 225/50/17 tires installed...As discussed, they are 26.1" tall..

Which when compared to my oem 215/50/17 is an overall height diff of approx +.600"
divided by 2 = .300" more sidewall... So after checking 1st front tire very carefully.

See pencil between tire & strut plate (very loosely fit).. (apologize or VERY crappy pic)..
Pencil od mics out at .301" (min)..
So, I have .300" (a bit over 1/4") clearance from tire to strut plate.. Totally pleased with ample clearance..

I promise better pics coming..

Fwiw: NOT saying any 26.1" tall tire will fit ALL, a lot depends on tire type, mfgr, rim etc.. So use caution..

But these babies fit fine & ride smooth as silk.. & each tire is 1 lb lighter that stock..

PS: My Firestone Firehawk GTA 215/50/17 tires (all 4) are available, if anyone may be interested, PM me.. LOTS of life left, & never had any plugs or patches.

Barely have em scrubbed in yet, but loving the improvement in ride, handling & a lil beefier look too.

Interesting, the camera manual says about the same thing. Self-Portrait Shooting.

Now my camera battery is dead. lol

I will read any shop manual. But have hardly looked at the camera manual..

Thanks Sam, will try again later....

Guess you need another battery tender.:

It blows my mind how many batteries it takes to run our lives now. I must have 40 or 50 rechargeable batteries running stuff around here.
