I would look into this as a separate issue dealing with the steering column. I also had that problem and was able to find out that it was a week all item. it did take some time to get the dealership to honor it though. as I was told it was for cars manufactured in USA only and it seems mine was manufactured in Canada. but once they determined mine was doing the exact same problems as the recall they did fully honor it. but I was told if you wait on it it can be a huge huge huge problem

Assembled in Mexico. Parts made all over the globe.

If she can confuse manufactured with assembled, I can legally use the term "made".

OK.

But I'm gonna have to clear that "legal" claim through Mike.

He's right George, if you have 50-60 hours of free time, I'd gladly explain the differences between Canadian Law and U.S. Law. It's fascinating really.

That is the answer I came here seeking this morning. Unfortunately, it required reading 20 prior pages of mostly chafe in a thread created as solution to questions similar to mine?

Sorry to sound like a broken record - but that is exactly the reason some of us have been pushing the use of the search tool. There is so much info here pumping in the appropriate terms into the search tool will save you a lot of time. I put in "program existing keys" and the answer was listed in the first couple of references.
