I'm wrecked and so is the Paddy-Wagon.

That far along already? That's good. Shows the shop and the insurance company are in sync. I assume you own carrier is handling it?

Yup Marshall, my carrier is handling things then going after the underwriter of Mr. Tipsy the Beemer driver. Might be as far out as the tenth of January for an ETA on the rear suspension and related bits, the shelves at GM are beginning to runneth bare where certain HHR bits are concerned.

Wow Mike! Been a few weeks since I've been on.

Sorry to hear about Paddy, but sounds like she'll be back on the road again soon, as I am sure you will be too. Great to see/hear that you have still have a sense of humor, even if it's with the help of Vicodin.

The description of your accident sounds almost identical to one I had back in 1990 in a 6 month old Dodge Colt. About the only difference between the 2 is that the Colt was stopped abruptly in mid spin (180˚) by a tree. It took me 3 tries to open the door before I followed the branch that crushed the windshield to the trunk which was right at the driver's door, at which point the passenger side door looked like a good option to exit the vehicle. Escaped with a few minor scratches thanks to the auto seat belts and limo tinted windows.

Just tell them you'll settle for an SS rear.
As for being OCD (it should be CDO cause that's the letters in their correct order), some call it being a perfectionist, some say it's OCD or anal but just like you, I prefer to call it "just being me".

Sorry to hear about your accident and I am glad you are recovering. This is the first time I have been on this part of the forum. For years I had a 77 Audi Fox and I don't know how many times I got rear ended in that car. Luckly they used the same 5 mile an hour bumpers on the back as the did on the front and I bounced. Never hurt the car just shook me up some. Godspeed and have a fast recovery.

Gee Ron, hadn't heard or thought of an Audi Fox for a long time, they sure were nice little cars in their day. Yeah those 5-mph bumpers "uglied up" most cars back then, but you're right, they just kind of bounced off things.

I'm slowly getting better, the ETA on the return of the Paddy-Wagon is sometime around the 25th of this month, the ETA on my leg being bendable again....well that's a case of healing and physical therapy/torture.
